Style For Less: Pretty Little Liars

Hey girls!

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!  I know I did-- I went to Mobile to see my bestie Lauren and her new apartment.  It was great to catch up- and laugh and CRY (you don't even want to know).. Let's just say, when it comes to a sad movie, we are emotional basketcases!

ON ANOTHER NOTE... Who has been watching this season of Pretty Little Liars??  Seriously.  If you are not then shame on you!  It comes on Tuesdays at 7 and then again at 9 so set your DVR now!  Believe me, you will thank me.  Not only is the show suspenseful and mysterious it's also addictive.  Once you watch, you will be counting down the days, hours, and seconds til the next episode.  And to add to the obsession is the adorable outfits and fashion sense of Aria, Hanna, Spencer, and Emily.  They all have completely different style which makes it easy to find one of them to be inspired by.

We'll start with my personal favorite-- Aria.  Her style is a little edgier than the other girls.  She's a fan of darker hues, riding boots, and unique accessories-- and don't forget the textured tights.  This look is perfect for fall and to make it easy to wear right now, just leave the tights at home!

(Click on the captions to shop!)

Leopard Print Sweater $19.80

Solid Camisole $4.80

Black Denim Cuffed Shorts $24.80

Chain Fringe Necklace $6.80

Black Riding Boots $16.99

Next, we have Hanna.  She loves to dress up and be girly.  She is feminine and glamorous and every girl can identify with her style.  I chose a top with a little more bling to dress this look up and for the shoes I picked a peep toe sling back wedge that easily transitions into fall.

Tiered Bib Cami $22.80

Black Blazer $31.10

Black Basic Mini Skirt $7.80

Slingback Wedge $24.70

Two Tone Silver and Black Hoops  $4.80

Spencer-- She puts a modern twist on preppy girl style.  It's not all polos and pearls for this girl.  This is such a great look for fall that can be worn by all shapes and sizes.

Floral Tunic $22.80
Denim Jeggings $19.99

Tan Riding Boots $39.95

Red Bow Studs $6.50

Last, but certainly not least is Emily.  Emily is the athlete of the group.  Her style is casual and comfortable.  This look is really easy to transition into fall.  You can always pair this skirt with a long sleeve top for cooler weather.

Striped Crop Top $8.90

Racerback Tank $4.80

Denim Mini Skirt $14.80

So, if you enjoyed the fashion and listened to anything I said in this post, WATCH THE SHOW.. It's amazing.  Talk soon.

My Favorite Boutiques on Facebook

First let me start off by saying I am sooooo sorry it's been so long!  Some of you may know, I am an online student, and two weeks ago I finished my FOUR summer classes... It was only natural to take a temporary hiatus from the computer altogether.  It was a nice break from technology and much needed.  However, that doesn't mean that I didn't check Facebook on my phone at least 5 times a day like usual.  With that said, I got some new material for my blog...

So let me introduce you to my favorite boutiques ON FACEBOOK.  There are so many boutiques that I have shopped in while traveling or on the weekends that I don't have time to visit during the week, so when they put up pictures on Facebook it's like heaven on Earth-- and it's really disappointing when certain boutiques don't.  But these boutiques will never let you down... They are constantly updating and commenting and they make it so easy to shop!  Shopping on Facebook has definitely become a favorite past time of mine.. So here you go--Enjoy!  You can thank me later!

Flowood, Ridgeland, and Oxford, MS

The Blue Door Boutique

Anyway, you girls check these boutiques out on Facebook!  Believe me, you won't regret it!  This is just a little taste of what they have to offer!  Let me know how you like them and if you have a favorite Facebook boutique.  More to come soon!

The Colorblock Craze

One of my favorite trends for summer is colorblocking.  It's all about bold, bright, brilliant style!   And it's so easy... Just pair together the most vivid colors in your closet and you've got it!  It's all about putting together shades of color that are unexpected and loud.  You can choose different colors of tops, skirts, shorts, or pants... Or go with a solid dress and leave the colorblocking to your shoes.

Colorblocking is a celeb favorite without a doubt.

I picked out a few pieces that will make it easy to transition into such a statement making trend.  If you want to tone down this hot look, just pair a bright color with a solid neutral.  It's easy as pie to pull off, so get to shopping!  (just click on the caption(: )

One Shoulder Ruffle Dress $54

Sheer Blue Crop Top $45

Coral Red Pants $43

Yellow Scalloped Dress $23

Turquoise and yellow pumps $32

Sheer Green Crop Top $35
Coral High Waisted Shorts $40

Turquoise Pants $17.80

Open Back Dress $34.70

Royal Ruched Knotted Skirt $19.60

Lime and Royal Colorblock Dress $38.99

Fuschia Crop Top $38

Grey Ruffle Dress $34

Hot Pink Denim Shorts $15.80

Purple Pumps $18.99

Like I've said before, style is all about how you take a trend and put your own personal spin on it, and colorblocking gives you the ability to do what you want with it.  It's all about spontaneity and the unexpectedness of your outfit... So go for it! Make it as bold and bright as you want!

Style For Less: The Kardashians

I think it's safe to say the Kardashians need no introduction.  When their reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, premiered on E! in 2007, they became an over night sensation.  They've been splashed on the covers of every tabloid and fashion magazine and yet we still can not get enough.  A fan myself, I was hoping that this craze would not die out like Paris and Nicole(bless their hearts), but, no worries, the Kardashians have stood the test of Hollywood time.  They have transformed in front of our eyes into established, hard working business women.  Something that is undeniable is their sense of style.  These girls are not afraid of being fashion forward or pushing the envelope when it comes to their outfits.  Each of their looks are uniquely different, so no matter what your style is at least one of them will inspire you.  The latest trend the girls are following:  neutral hues with a pop of color.  Which Kardashian style suits you best?

Kourtney.  You can not deny her love of fashion.  You can see it in everything she wears.  This girl truly loves the style aspect of clothing.  She completes every look she wears, down to the last accessory.  I can not remember the last time I've seen a picture of Kourtney that she didn't look like she just stepped off of a runway.

For Kourtney's look, I chose a cream lacy top perfect for Mississippi summers with a pair of khaki linen shorts.  For a more practical shoe, I went with a nude espadrille wedge and for that pop of color, check out that necklace!

Creme Lace Top $47

Linen Shorts $15.80

Peep Toe Wedge $33

"Sunswept" Necklace $19.95

Kim is known for her sultry look.  Here, she puts a spin the classic all white ensemble with a sheer top and statement making handbag.  This girl knows how to turn heads and isn't afraid to do it.

To make Kim's look appropriate for this 100 degree weather, I chose a sheer, shoulder-bareing crop top with these perfect fitting Blank Denim flares (and you can't beat that price either!).  Just pair it with a bright bag and tan heels and you are Kim K approved!

Sheer Crop Top $31.10

Blank Denim $52.50

Strappy Nude Wedge $28

Melie Bianco Handbag $90

Over the years, Khloe has definitely come the farthest in terms of style.  She has become a true fashionista over the years and she continues to pleasantly surprise me with her ever evolving style.

This is such a great summer outfit.  It's so effortless, yet so trendy (my favorite).  To get the same oversized sweater feel, just go up a size and you will nail it.  This look would also be great with some nude or gold flats.  For a different splash of color, I chose this cobalt blue handbag... One things for sure, these sisters love a bright handbag!

Metallic Speckled Knit Sweater $17.80
Classic Rolled Hem Denim Shorts $12.50

Chunky  Strap Platform $27.30

Cobalt "Nixon" $60

The thing I love most about these looks is that EVERYONE can wear them!  Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim are completely different shapes and sizes.  They have taken such a classic, summer look and made it their own-- and you can, too!  Next time you can't decide what to wear, GO NUDE (not literally!), but don't forget that POP of color!
